Case IH

All Case IH machines leave the factory with a blend of biodiesel and traditional diesel fuel.

B100: Module Express 625 module-building cotton picker and SPX3320 and SPX4420 self-propelled sprayers.

B20: Case IH also supports B20 use in more than 90 percent of the models it sells in North America and Europe - again with certain requirements for operation and maintenance.

B5: Customers can use B5 in all Case IH engines without restrictions or special engine maintenance.

Use B6 through B20 only if the outside temperature is greater than 16 degrees F (-9 degrees C). Use greater than B20 blends only if the outside temperature is greater than 41 degrees F (5 degrees C).Dec - 2007
Caterpillar

B30: Engines in Earthmoving Machines (SEBU6250-14); See page 49. (Some engines may only use B5).

B30: On-Highway Truck Engines (SEBU6385-07); See page 20. (Some engines may only use B20 or B5).

B30: Caterpillar Commercial Diesel Engines Fluids Recommendations (SEBU6251-10); See page 26. (Some engines may only use B20 or B5).

B30: 3600 Series and C280 Series Diesel Engine Fluids Recommendations (SEBU7003-03); See page 22. (Some engines may only use B20 or B5).

Caterpillar neither approves nor prohibits the use of Biodiesel fuels.

Although ASTM specifications for Diesel (D975) and Biodiesel (D6751) generally meet Caterpillar’s Diesel and Biodiesel specifications, Caterpillar’s specification requirements for the Biodiesel constituent prior to blending and the final blend may be narrower than those adopted by ASTM.
