The Mansfield ColdPro Program is designed to prevent the gelling of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel #2 (ULSD #2) in a cost effective manner. The program works around the limited supply and high incremental costs of using either kerosene or ULSD #1 that is traditionally utilized for winter operability. This approach addresses the effect on winter operability of the 15ºF Cloud Point of winter ULSD #2 from most pipe line and terminal systems. This program provides our customers a fully managed solution to winter fuel operability concerns and is designed to ensure fuel quality and performance under cold weather conditions specific to each region of the United States. The program includes:
- Pre-season tank testing and maintenance program
- Pre-blended winterized fuel supply that removes the need for local additive inventories or on site treatment of fuel by your employees, reducing labor and costs, while ensuring consistent quality
- Regionalized additive program matched to local supply and weather conditions that minimizes the need for expensive blending of low sulfur kerosene (ULDS #1)
- Extreme Weather Kit for on site treatment during very cold weather events
- Assistance in developing your corporate policy and procedures to support roll out of your program
- Monthly testing program for fuel quality monitoring throughout the winter
