What is CNG?
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is natural gas that has been compressed to less than 1% of its volume in a high-pressure container for transportation or storage. CNG a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas consists mainly of methane and comes from drilled gas wells or is released in the production of crude oil.
Today Natural gas is powering over 6 million vehicles globally; however, only about 110,000 of these vehicles are used in the United States today.
Currently about 1,100 of the 12,000 CNG fueling stations worldwide are located in the U.S.
Typically a CNG powered vehicle has a driving range of roughly 300 miles depending on capacity of the gas cylinders.
